Tiger Cat, Brazil 1996

This full-grown Tiger Cat isn't much bigger than a typical alley cat, but it can be just as vicious as any of its larger cousins that roam wild throughout the world. I photographed this one in captivity while exploring the world's largest wetland in Brazil.

The number of birds and other wildlife are tremendous. Along with Tiger Cat, I learned that many other exotic animals live in the Pantanal. Crocodiles, pumas, jaguars, anacondas and hundreds of birds of every variety. After fording leech-infested streams and battling voracious mosquitoes, I managed to capture many of these animals on film while in the region.

All images are available in 18" x 24" poster and limited number original ilfochrome color photographs. To learn more about these and other images please contact us.
