Long Tail Boats, Thailand 1994

This morning, I awoke at dawn and hopped on my rented motorcycle before anyone arrived at my bungalow. No schedules, no obligations or people telling me where to go and when. I happened on this secluded beach and sat and reflected. Just like these boats, for a moment, I escaped responsibility. But, just as these boats of tranquility would soon return to taxis, fishing and transporting people here and there...I, too, would be back in the race refreshed and looking forward to my next place of solitude.
