Three Roses, 1996 |
| The staff of the Memphis Botanic Garden accompanied me as we selected some of their most beautiful flowers which I then took back to the studio to photograph. In total darkness in the studio, state of the art technology allowed me to experiment using "painting with light" techniques. These roses, as well as sunflowers, iris, day lilies, hibiscus, and orchids are the subjects of my most popular series of photographs in the gallery. The simple beauty of a flower reflecting light seems to appeal to collectors of fine art photography. |
